Retirees Living Longer, Working Longer

Senior citizens are living longer and are healthier than ever. This increase in longevity is bringing about another trend: seniors continuing to work after retirement.

A Los Angeles Times poll discovered that nearly 25% of retirees say they retired too soon, and 44% of all respondents plan to continue working part time after retirement. In fact, 14% will work full time. The recent repeal of the Social Security earnings limit will most likely encourage more retirees to continue working.
