The War on Sneezes

If you are one of the 36 million Americans who suffer from seasonal allergies, here a few tips to help keep your home sneeze-free:

• Clean your A/C and change the filter according to the manufacturer’s directions;
• Wipe the inside of your refrigerator and shower with vinegar to prevent mildew from forming;
• Throw away piles of newspaper or old boxes to keep from attracting cockroaches;
• Vacuum weekly or cover cloth furniture with slipcovers so they can be cleaned regularly to cut down on dust mites, pollen, and animal dander;
• Vacuum or dry clean draperies;
• Place doormats inside and outside your entryways;
• Pet owners, wash walls and doors with a damp cloth to remove dander.
