Divorce Law GROUNDS FOR DIVORCE Grounds: Adultery, cruelty orviolence; drug/alcohol addiction; impotency; nonsupport;insanity; unexplained absence; conviction of crime; separation of18 months or longer. Residency: One party must beresident at least 60 days before action and a resident 3 monthsbefore decree. Waiting Period: 30 days from filingfor decree.
